# Getting Cardano Tokens

To interact with the Cardano blockchain of which VyFinance is built upon, users will first need to purchase some Cardano (ADA) tokens and send them to their respective NAMI or CCVault wallet addresses. To purchase ADA user can use a range of Centralized exchanges such as Coinbase, Binance, Coinspot etc.. Once purchased on one of these platforms users will then need to send the ADA tokens to their choice of either NAMI or CCVault.

# Wallet Fracked

These troubleshooting steps can fix most surface level issues when using our platform

<figure><img src="https://787653979-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MZWCLXepwf1Xs07VKic%2Fuploads%2FUiUhwFLZYKg3QFuw40AV%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=a89e267b-4e2d-413e-a293-da27e4cdcbd0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The “Wallet Fracked” error message can appear for users with a considerable amount of token/NFTs in their wallet.

This is due to the smart contract (CPU/mem limits) being confronted with the UTXO output bundle size.

*<mark style="color:red;">Whenever interacting with defi is always recommended to have a wallet with as few assets as possible.</mark>*

When confronted with this error you can try a couple of different methods to fix the issue.

**Firstly,** send all the assets needed for the transaction (along with 10ADA) to yourself, this will create a brand new UTXO that may fix the problem

*If this does not help your wallet might be exceptionally fracked.*

&#x20;

In this case you can use a tool like [**https://unfrack.it/**](https://unfrack.it/) to help recover your wallet to a healthier state<br>

<figure><img src="https://787653979-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MZWCLXepwf1Xs07VKic%2Fuploads%2FGAoIMCcLzhYj3oOhtGS3%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=bc8ca81a-339c-4c54-8b6b-6f4c4b4276ad" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

*<mark style="color:red;">For long term wallet use, you can turn on the “Token Fragmentation” feature in the settings to help keep your UTXO management in a better place</mark>*

<figure><img src="https://787653979-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MZWCLXepwf1Xs07VKic%2Fuploads%2FjjkMHtUjEJY8ZMPfNjik%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=f903a121-d46e-459b-b8a9-3d476d49c9da" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

*<mark style="color:red;">Some wallets (such as ETERNL) have a feature to keep your UTXOs managed correctly, this can help avoid fracked wallet issues</mark>*

# Tokenomics

*Tokenomics Emissions Rate:* [*https://vyfi-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/emissionrate.pdf*](https://vyfi-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/emissionrate.pdf)

*Tokenomics as set out in our white papers:* [*https://vyfi-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/whitepaper.pdf*](https://vyfi-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/whitepaper.pdf)

**Total Supply/Full Diluted Market Cap: 450 million**

In the beginning there will be a large supply that will enable Yield Farming for an extended period of time. Around 85% of the token supply will be locked to yield farms. Around 8% of the supply will be locked to our Treasury (Controlled by the governance token). The team will receive a 2.5% share of supply, and this will be vested over a period of 4 years. Our expected market cap at launch will be between 0.5% and 1.5% of supply (depending on how well our ICO preforms). This would give us a market cap between 2.25 – 6.75 million tokens on launch. Any amount that is left from this 1.5% after ICO will be locked equally between farms and the treasury.

It is worth noting that this will be with the Cardano token decimal count of 6. This is opposed to the typical 8 seen in most Cryptocurrencies.

<figure><img src="https://787653979-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MZWCLXepwf1Xs07VKic%2Fuploads%2FkoS19iDAz0Ss1RKFAiH8%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=50dd6d68-96af-49c5-b360-2ee151320673" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Inflation**

Since ownership of the token is the only way to stake at the VyFi Bar, there is an inbuild distributive income from holding the token. As a percentage of all fee’s/investment earnings on the site will be used to purchase the tokens on a weekly basis, the price will inflate with use of the platform. The liquidity provision pay-out ratio for the yield farms will decrease with time, also creating a reduced supply as time passes. Furthermore, the combined income from the Auto-Harvester will be distributed as VYFI, creating a continuous upward pressure on our token from the liquidity aggregator.

**How does VYFI enter circulation?**

Through the yield farms. VYFI will be circulating with every block – at a decreasing rate until all 450 million have enter circulation.

Around 0.15% of total supply will be awarded through marketing, pre-ICO, ICO and airdrops. VYFI will also be obtainable through lending against the margin.

**Distributive Token**

VYFI can be staked at the Bar so users can share in the profits of the entire ecosystem. This incentivizes yield-farmers to hold the coin, as they gain access to income through doing so. Access to pools for other tokens across the Cardano ecosystem further incentivizes users to hold our token.

# VyFi Token Swap Instructions

Swapping your V1 VyFi to V2 VYFI

## Why is the Swap Needed?

The ability to make tokens on Cardano has come long before smart contracts. That being said, airdrops, ICO, and giveaways require something, so we gave a V1 Native Token, which was before the decimal function was known.

You may have noticed your VyFi lacks decimal spaces! The V2, known as VYFI (all caps) will have its proper 6 decimals.&#x20;

**So what happens to my VyFi?**&#x20;

Your VyFi is 1:1 swapped to the V2, which is "VYFI". Notice the usage of Uppercase Characters in the V2.  You also receive back the \~1.2ADA-1.8ADA Carrying Fee that goes with tokens.&#x20;

VyFi -> VYFI

## Swapping Your VyFi to VYFI:

*Make sure you have connected your wallet the holds the V1 $VYFI*

\- A pop-up should appear to prompt the token swap. I*f the popup does not appear* you can select the “VYFI Token Swap” button to start the swap

&#x20; ***`SKIP THE NEXT STEP IF YOU HOLD YOUR V1 TOKENS IN A NAMI WALLET`***

Users who hold their V1 VyFi in a **non-NAMI** wallet will be required to send their tokens to the provided address &#x20;

\-        Copy the address provided

\-        Send your V1 VyFi from the wallet you hold your tokens to the address provided &#x20;

# BAR

Stake against the entire ecosystem!

VyFinance will be offering a feature where users can stake their VYFI to the BAR, and earn a share of fees that are generated across the VyFinance ecosystem

Every trade that takes place on a DEx is charged a fee. Our liquidity pools will have a fee of 0.3%, of which 0.2% will be given back to the liquidity providers, and 0.1% will be ‘Served’ to our BAR. When we say ‘Served’, we are referring to serving fees, as $VYFI, to the BAR.

# Embedded Liquidity Pools (ELPs)

The Bar is built into every single liquidity pool that is on our dApp. It sits inside any trading pairs liquidity pool as an Embedded Liquidity Pool (ELP). These ELPs’ collect the 0.1% that has been generated from every swap, and perform a transaction which sends these fees towards the Bar upon executing the ‘Serve’ operation.

The fees collected in the ELPs’ are in both currencies. Upon creation of any trading pair that isn’t linked to ADA, the creator determines which token will be the Principal Token (PT) of the liquidity pool. Upon execution of the ‘Serve’ operation, the ELP will convert all fee’s into the PT, and send these fee’s forward to the closest ADA linked pair.

<br>

# Liquidity Pools Principal Token

Every liquidity on our platform will have a Principal Token (PT) determined at the time of creation. Whenever a serve operation is conducted a serve operation is stored and will be converted to the PT of the liquidity pool, and then the serve will only send forwards the PT.\
\
Which tokens will be the principal token?\
\
The PT is determined by the pair that has been created. The following rules apply for PT determination:\
For all ADA/CNT pairs, ADA is the PT.\
For all VYFI/CNT pairs, VYFI is the PT.\
For all Stable/CNT pairs, the Stable-coin is the PT. &#x20;

For all CNT/CNT pairs, users creates the PT (User that creates the pool) \
\
Be aware, due to our PT determination, CNT/CNT pairs can be created if and only if the PT of the pair already has an existing ADA, VYFI or Stable-linked LP.&#x20;

<br>

# The Serve Operation

The serve operation takes place in three rounds. Each round consists of the following steps:\
\
**Step one:** Check total value stored in ELP.\
\
**Step Two:** If the total value stored in ELP is greater than target value, serve ELP.\
\
**Step Three:** If the serve operation is conducted on $VYFI linked pair, serve to BAR.\
\
A Round will take place at a random time every 24 hours.\
\
The rounds are split into three sets:\
\
**Set one:** All CNT/CNT pairs\
\
**Set two:** All ADA/CNT pairs\
\
**Set three:** All VYFI/CNT pairs\
\
Each set has its own target value that the ELP must meet before step two of the round is performed.\
\
Target values are as follows:\
\
**Set one:** CNT/CNT pair contains > 10ADA locked in the ELP.

**Set two:** ADA/CNT pair contains > 50ADA locked in the ELP.\
\
**Set three:** VYFI/CNT pair contains > 100ADA locked in ELP.\
\
Given that these requirements are met, the round will complete and the ELP will be served.

\
\
*On the next page we will give an example of our serve operation taking place.*\
\ <br>

<br>

# An example of ELP’s in Action

User creates the liquidity pool for Token A/Token B, and sets Token A to be the PT of the liquidity pool. After a period of time, the ELP collects 30 Token A, and 50 Token B as fees (with a total value of 11ADA). Once the ‘Serve’ Operation is executed, the first set of rounds for CNT/CNT pairs will commence.  This ELP contains more than 10ADA worth of value. As such, the first requirement of the round is passed and the Token A/Token B ELP will be served.&#x20;

Step two of the round will now commence. We swap all Token B to Token A — as Token A has been selected as the PT in the pair.&#x20;

Once swapped, step three of the round can take place. All the accrued Token A is sent to the ELP for the ADA/Token A pair.

Once this process has taken place for all CNT/CNT pairs, set one is complete. We now repeat this process for all ADA/CNT pairs - we begin set two.

&#x20;The same rounds then repeat, but with ADA as the PT for all ADA/CNT linked pools. All the ADA that is accrued at the end of set two is then sent to the VYFI/ADA ELP.&#x20;

Once all the rounds have been completed for every ADA/CNT pair, set three commences for all VYFI linked pairs. This will result in all the accrued ADA being converted to VYFI and being distributed to the BAR.&#x20;

## Liquidity Pools Basic Overview

### **What is a liquidity pool?**

\
A liquidity pool is a collection of funds locked behind a smart contract. These pools are the backbone of many decentralized exchanges (DEXs). Users provide liquidity, depositing an equal value of two crypto currencies in a pool to create a market. In exchange for providing their funds, the user earns trading fees from the trades that happen in the pool, proportionally to their ownership share of the pool. As anyone can be a liquidity provider, AMMs (Automated Market Makers) have made market making more accessible. One of the first protocols to use liquidity pools was Bancor, but the concept gained popularity with Uniswap, Sushi Swap, and Curve.

### How do liquidity pools work?&#x20;

\
They are a significant innovation that allows for on-chain trading without the need for an order book. As no direct counterparty is needed to execute trades, traders can get in and out of positions on token pairs that likely would be highly illiquid on order book exchanges. You can think of an order book exchange as peer-to-peer, where buyers and sellers are connected by the order book. An example of this can be seen in Muesliswap. Whereas when using an AMM, your order doesn't need to be matched with another user making an order. Users can swap between currencies at wil; and the liquidity pool manages the price.

### What are liquidity pools used for?&#x20;

Essentially, liquidity pools are a way for users of crypto currencies to supply funds, so that services can be run on the blockchain. These services can vary, and theoretically with enough creativity, should be able to encompass the entire financial industry. For the purpose of our discussion, we will be focusing on liquidity pools used for exchanging between tokens (Swaps). To run an exchange, funds are required for users to swap between. As is the case in classical finance, when an exchange takes place at the bank, the bank takes a fee for facilitating that exchange. Similarly, when a user exchanges using a liquidity pool, the liquidity providers are paid a fee for allowing the exchange. It takes time for these fee’s to accrue, and due to risk held while waiting for these to be earnt (principally impermanent risk), platforms offer rewards for users in exchange for providing liquidity. This is called **liquidity mining.**

\
**Liquidity Mining**\
To create a better trading experience, various protocols offer even more incentives for users to provide liquidity by providing more rewards for particular “incentive” pools. In return for supplying these pools, the users are rewarded with the token of the particular protocol they are supplying. There are many different DeFi markets, platforms, and incentivized pools that allow you to earn rewards for providing and mining liquidity. So how do I liquidity mine? It is very simple! All you need to do is supply liquidity to a smart contract. In return, you will receive an LP token (This stands for liquidity pool token, and represents your ownership share of the entire liquidity pool). You then stake this LP token, and there you have it! You are liquidity mining.

### **Swaps and Liquidity Pools**

Swapping and Liquidity Pools are the core fundamentals of DeFi.\
\
Token Swaps are a method of trading tokens on the Cardano Network using an AMM (Automated Market Maker) and Liquidity Pools. Swapping is the act of instantly trading tokens for tokens. \
\
*The following explanation is for AMM DExes, **not** Order Book DExes.*\
\
In order to swap, we first need Liquidity. This is done by users providing both sides of the pair to the platform. The user is incentivized via a share of the fees. \
\
When a swap occurs, the AMM will perform the sale to the system. The user is effectively buying from, or selling to, the decentralized liquidity pool.

# How to Farm

<mark style="color:red;">**Stakeless LP farming:**</mark>

Users will only need to hold the LP tokens in their wallet to start earning rewards.

<mark style="color:red;">**A simplified flow of farming:**</mark>

***Cycle 1 (0–24 hours)***\
Estimated daily rewards shown

***Cycle 2 (24–48 hours)***\
Estimated rewards are moved to pending rewards.

***Cycle 3 (48+ hours)***

Pending rewards move to available rewards, at which point they are available to be harvested.

*The timer is a release of reward tokens, rewards are constantly being calculated in the background*

<mark style="color:red;">**Farming Guide:**</mark>&#x20;

# Slippage

**Slippage** occurs when an order is executed at a price that is different from the submitted order.&#x20;

For example if you place and order for 10 $VYFI at 2ADA but the transaction is not executed until 2.1ADA, the prices spread between the trade’s intended price and executed price is called slippage.\
\
**Slippage Types**&#x20;

**1. Negative slippage:** *Occurs when a trade order is filled (executed) at a price greater than the expected price.*

For example, trader A intended to buy 10 VYFI at 10 ADA, but the trade order was finally filled at 10.5 ADA, .5 ADA higher than anticipated. Trader A paid .5 ADA more than expected for the trade, which is a negative slippage.&#x20;

**2. Positive slippage:** *Occurs when a trade order is filled (executed) at a price lower than the expected price.*

For example, trader A intended to buy 10 VYFI at 10 ADA, but the trade order was finally filled at 9.5 ADA, .5 ADA lower than anticipated. Trader A paid .5 ADA less than expected for the trade, which is a positive slippage.

# Layer 2 Liquidity Pools

L2-LPs allow users to supply their Liquidity Pool Tokens as liquidity. In return, the user recieves a boosted farm on the LP's. This creates a new market, whereby users can purchase liquidity directly from the DEX - rather than actively supplying liquidity to the pool itself. It also allows experienced users to manage their impermanent risk in a new way, by creating more complex portfolio structures using L2-LPs.

To read more please see the article below:&#x20;

<https://bit.ly/L2LPfarming>

# Risks and Impermanence

The major risk that a user takes on board by holding a swap liquidity pool token (that is, the LP we just discussed), is called Impermanent Risk. Here, we will try to give a basic introduction to impermanent risk, and provide an introductory discussion to how it can be used effectively in a portfolio. Nothing discussed herein is financial advice, it is merely a description of liquidity pools and impermanent risk. Please consider your own circumstances before making any financial decisions.&#x20;

### What is Impermanent risk?&#x20;

When a user deposits funds into a liquidity pool, they are providing two tokens (let’s call them ADA and VYFI) to a contract. These tokens are deposited at a ratio that is determined by their price. As an example, if 1 VYFI = 1 ADA, then the deposit ratio would be 1VYFI:1ADA. In this above example, let’s say a user deposits 100 ADA and 100 VYFI into the liquidity pool to allow users to swap between them. Imagine the price of VYFI starts doing well, and goes up. What does this mean from a mechanical perspective? It means users are trading ADA in exchange for VYFI. This means the liquidity pool is having VYFI withdrawn, and ADA deposited. After a period of time, the price of VYFI has increased, and is now 1 VYFI = 1.5 ADA. The user who originally deposited 100 VYFI and 100ADA will now hold 80 VYFI and 120 ADA in the liquidity pool. This has meant an effective LOSS of 20 VYFI and an effective GAIN of 20 ADA for the user. The same holds true in reverse. If the price of VYFI where to go down, the user would GAIN VYFI, and LOOSE ADA. I have made a general chart, labeled image 1. The liquidity pool will gain whichever token is losing value the fastest. And this is the definition of impermanent risk. ***All liquidity pools will gain the lower value token, and lose the higher value token.***&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://787653979-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MZWCLXepwf1Xs07VKic%2Fuploads%2FOxGC7lFYa4EeLC3HkYHh%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=9f53d6e6-53ff-4365-b804-a10f87efc777" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### When is Impermanent risk at its worst?&#x20;

From the moment you enter a pool, you begin earning fees. But at the moment you enter, you have earnt $0 in fees. It is at this point that you are at the highest risk. As you earn fees your liquidity builds and thus, your exposure to impermanent risk decreases over time. In general, the more volatile an asset, the higher impermanent risk you will experience.&#x20;

### In Summary

&#x20;Impermanent risk is the tendency for liquidity pools to gain whichever token is losing the most value. As a holder of an LP token then, it is important to be aware of this risk, and to ensure that you manage your position appropriately. Many platforms offer a return for holding their LP (called Liquidity Mining), to pay-out users for holding this risk. Make sure you never risk more than you can afford to lose in trading.

# Farming Set Adjustments

With every farming set, we adjust the rate at which rewards are paid out to liquidity providers. We do this to ensure that our farms are as aligned as possible with the current usage of our platform.\
\
These changes take place on the 1st and 17th of every month at 00:00UTC. <br>

The emissions delivered to each pair is rebalanced based on multiple factors. TVL, trading volume, transaction volume and Market Capitalization are the major metrics that the algorithm uses to determine farm allocation.\
\
This means that any farm has the capacity to grow or shrink in the rewards that they are receiving based on the net performance of the liquidity pool.&#x20;

**Farm Relegation**\
\
As new liquidity pairs emerge on the DEx, we want to create a system that allows for fluid uptake of new farms. Any farm with less than 30,000 $ADA TVL has the capacity to be relegated.\
\
**How farm relegation works**\
\
Any farm that has below 30,000 $ADA TVL has the capacity to be relegated. For a pair to be eligible to receive a new farm, it must have a TVL of 30,000 $ADA or greater. At the beginning of every farming set, any pool without a farm that meets the required threshold in TVL will receive the emissions from the smallest pool receiving rewards on our DEx.&#x20;

<br>

\*Any token that has been relegated can earn their farm back by increasing their TVL above 30,000 $ADA\*

<br>

# Farms

VyFinance will be introducing Stakeless-LP Farming. Once a user has either deposited liquidity, or bought LP tokens from the market - they will instantly begin farming!

Farming will function on a 24 hour reward cycle, with a minimum of two cycles before users can access their first harvest. Every 24 hours, the rewards earnt by the user will be moved from "Estimated Rewards" to "Pending Rewards". All "Pending rewards" become available on the next reward cycle.\
\
**Emissions** **Algorithm**

We are adjusting our emissions algorithm to include significantly more factors such as current daily BAR distribution, total volume, the price of $VYFI, TVL on the platform, and the change in all of these metrics over the farming set.

The design of this algorithm is to allow the maximum growth in emissions, when there has been minimal change in the platform’s condition over the farming set. The maximum increase in emissions per farming set will be 3%, with the minimum change in emissions of -2%.

As an example, if for the period of a farming set we have 0% change in all of the metrics listed above, the emissions will increase by 3%. If we experience a growth or reduction in all of these metrics by 50% the algorithm will reduce the emissions by 2%.

For the next farming set we will be increasing emissions by the maximum of 3%. We are doing this as an interim before we fully implement this algorithm next month. We will be making the algorithm public by the end of the month, alongside a calculator to assist users in understanding how the algorithm functions.

**FAQ's for Farms**

* ***What do I do with my LPs when they get to my wallet?***

Nothing! On VyFinance, we’ve introduced stakeless LP, so users don’t require any additional steps once LP tokens have been acquired!

* ***Can you move LP Tokens between Wallets?***

Yes, you can. You can send through LP tokens to different wallets, and those wallets will start accruing rewards. <mark style="color:red;">**Be aware**</mark>, like Cardano, it will take two days before rewards on the new wallet are able to be harvested. You will forfeit the ‘Pending rewards’ from the wallet the tokens are being sent from.

* ***Will I lose pending rewards if I move only a portion of my LP tokens?***

You will lose pending rewards equal to the amount of farm those LP tokens sent have accrued. Any LP tokens remaining in the wallet will continue to farm as usual.

* ***Why do I lose my pending rewards if I move my LP tokens?***

We use this as an anti-whale measure. It stops larger wallets being able to jump in and out of liquidity over small time-frames to earn disproportionate rewards.

* ***Do my L2LP tokens still earn all my farm from the L1LP?***

Yes. We’re currently looking at ways to better display the rewards L1LP tokens are accruing while in a L2LP pool.

* ***How often can I claim my rewards?***

It takes 48 hours for the first set of rewards to become available, and you can claim rewards every 24 hours thereafter.

* ***What happens if I accidentally claim my rewards twice?***

If you claim your rewards twice, the second transaction will remain in lue until the next set of rewards are available. Once these rewards are available, your farm will be instantly harvested will arrive in your wallet.

* ***Where can I learn more about layer 2 liquidity providing?***

We have two articles dedicated to this topic, which you can find here:

<https://medium.com/@vyfinance/layer-two-l2-liquidity-pool-lp-farming-deep-dive-41f561b21edf>

* ***Can I stake my farm at the BAR?***

Yes. Once you harvest your $VYFI, you can do with it as you wish.

* ***Can I farm from my phone?***

Yes. Flint Wallet is compatible on the app.&#x20;

* ***Can I use a hardware wallet like Trezor or Ledger?***

Yes you can. You will need to follow the hardware wallet guide for connecting to Eternl Wallet. This can be found through Eternl Wallet support.<br>

# Vaults

The intro page for Vaults - explaining their function and benefit

Vaults on the VyFinance platform allow users to earn a variety of tokens by staking CNT tokens or VYFI NFTs \
\
<https://app.vyfi.io/vaults>

**Why have NFTs locked?**\
This adds to the utility of the vaults. Locked staking implies that those tokens are temporarily out of circulation. This results in scarcity on the markets, affecting the price and inherent-utility of the token.\
\
**How are tokens made are available?**\
All tokens are either provided by the company they are for, or bought on the open market by the staff.\
\
**What is an IFO?**\
IFO means Initial Farm Offering. It is a method of disbursing tokens into circulation via Farm/Staking rewards. The "I" in IFO implies that this is the first distribution, the very first time the tokens are entering circulation. \
That being said, IFOs can occur alongside an IDO *(Initial DEx Offering, listing the token on a DEx)*, an ICO *(Initial Coin Offering, Selling the token direct from the company)*, and other offerings, such as an ISPO *(Initial Staking Pool Offering, tokens are rewards from staking to the related pool).*

Peer to Peer, No price impact, Zero Slippage, Cost effective airdrops, Lower Fees

Safe Swap is a mechanism that allows users to securely swap any Cardano Native Asset (CNA). This allows users to preform Over-the-Counter (OTC) trades between each other or open counter parties on the blockchain. There are three types of Safe Swaps available on our site:

## Private Swap

This function allows two users to trustlessly swap CNA's between each other wallets.

## Public Swap

This function allows any user to make a public request to swap one CNA for another. Any wallet on the blockchain can fulfill this request

## Claims&#x20;

This function can be used by anybody to set up large scale distributions to multiple users of any CNA.  Using our Bulk Import feature, multiple wallets can be designated to claim - Similar to an airdrop. All wallets given this distribution will be prompted to claim when connecting to our Dapp&#x20;

# Private Swap

# Fee Distribution

Swap what you want, Pay what you want

When creating a Safeswap, the creator can decide how fees are distributed between users. By adjusting the slider, the % fee is split between parties \[creator and receiver(s)]\
\
![](https://787653979-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MZWCLXepwf1Xs07VKic%2Fuploads%2FnlaKjif4Eig1GFU0DliS%2Fssps3.png?alt=media\&token=f10e5561-c6a1-47e4-90b9-62d4c7093eeb)\
\
If the "Fee distribution" is set to 0%, the creator of the Safe Swap is charging the receiver the entire fee for conducting the Safe swap. Conversely, at 100% the Safe Swap creator is paying the entire fee. You have the freedom to adjust this slider between both values.

# Bulk Import

<mark style="color:red;">**This is an advanced feature please fully review  these documents and double check all files before submission**</mark>&#x20;

This Bulk Import feature allows you to create a large number of Safe Swap orders easily with the power of the VyFi Tx Cart! \
\
To Initiate this process please use our "Bulk Import" feature. For a more hands off experience, our team can set up a distribution of claims for you. Please reach out to us on any or socials or email us at <support@vyfi.io>. <br>

<figure><img src="https://787653979-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MZWCLXepwf1Xs07VKic%2Fuploads%2FiPBH1Lfrox7J4rEOtTTf%2Fssb1.png?alt=media&amp;token=97b8a041-11e5-4155-8a29-89e66c1a3da7" alt="" width="234"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Depending on the type of orders you are trying to create you should be able to create about 60-80 orders in a single transaction, you may have to play with the number of orders to maximize a single transaction. Currently this import feature accepts the JSON format, which can be uploaded here <br>

<figure><img src="https://787653979-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MZWCLXepwf1Xs07VKic%2Fuploads%2FsYFqHz7YzYdyFL1Nx1ko%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=c0be14f7-ef0c-4235-adf5-bc8621af6d94" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You will then need to confirm the Bulk Order through our transaction cart\ <br>

<div data-full-width="true"><figure><img src="https://787653979-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MZWCLXepwf1Xs07VKic%2Fuploads%2FaGIAoM64GTGbkLaxBUTn%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=4b6ec97c-fa5f-4dbb-9ca1-29c91473e0c1" alt="" width="302"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

## JSON Format

Please enter the required data below the headers on your own copy of the above template.

```csv
sellerAddress,tokenAPolicyId,tokenAAssetId,tokenAQuantity,buyerAddress,tokenBPolicyId,tokenBAssetId,tokenBQuantity,feeRatio
string,string,string,number,string,string,string,number,number
*\*feeRatio is the amount of ADA fee you want to pay and how much you want to pass on to the person completing the order. If you set it to 100 you will pay the full fee, if set to 0 you will pass the full fee onto the user completing the order. 50 would make you split the fee 50/50 etc.*
## Private Sale&#x20;
Here is an example of the JSON for a private sale:
```
[
 {
   "sellerAddress": "addr1q8mmn0ptk45swh...",
   "tokenAPolicyId": "",
   "tokenAAssetId": "",
   "tokenAQuantity": 5000000,
   "buyerAddress": "addr1q95kvwcvdlgqaz...",
   "tokenBPolicyId": "804f5544c1962a40546827cab750a88404dc7108c0f588b72964754f",
   "tokenBAssetId": "56594649",
   "tokenBQuantity": 50000000,
   "feeRatio": 50
 }
]
```
```csv

```
\ <mark style="color:red;">**If policyId or assetId is left blank we will assume the asset is ADA. The token quantity should be in lovelace format so if the token has decimals make sure you account for this. An input of 5 will appear as .000005 ADA while an input of**</mark> [<mark style="color:red;">**5000000**</mark>](#user-content-fn-1)[^1] <mark style="color:red;">**will appear as 5 ADA**</mark>
## Public Sale
For a public sale the only difference is the buyerAddress will be left blank. This allows any wallet to complete this order. See example below:
```
[
 {
   "sellerAddress": "addr1q8mmn0ptk45swh...",
   "tokenAPolicyId": "",
   "tokenAAssetId": "",
   "tokenAQuantity": 5000000,
   "buyerAddress": "",
   "tokenBPolicyId": "804f5544c1962a40546827cab750a88404dc7108c0f588b72964754f",
   "tokenBAssetId": "56594649",
   "tokenBQuantity": 50000000,
   "feeRatio": 50
 }
]
```
```csv
sellerAddress,tokenAPolicyId,tokenAAssetId,tokenAQuantity,buyerAddress,tokenBPolicyId,tokenBAssetId,tokenBQuantity,feeRatio
addr1q8mmn0ptk45swh...,,,5000000,,804f5544c1962a40546827cab750a88404dc7108c0f588b72964754f,56594649,50000000,50
```
## Claim&#x20;
For a claim order you will want to leave all tokenB values blank and the tokenBQuantity set to 0 as we do not want anything in return. Here is an example of this structure:<br>
```

[
 {
   "sellerAddress": "addr1q8mmn0ptk45swh...",
   "tokenAPolicyId": "",
   "tokenAAssetId": "",
   "tokenAQuantity": 5000000,
   "buyerAddress": "addr1q95kvwcvdlgqaz...",
   "tokenBPolicyId": "",
   "tokenBAssetId": "",
   "tokenBQuantity": 0,
   "feeRatio": 50
 }
]
```
```csv
sellerAddress,tokenAPolicyId,tokenAAssetId,tokenAQuantity,buyerAddress,tokenBPolicyId,tokenBAssetId,tokenBQuantity,feeRatio
addr1q8mmn0ptk45swh...,,,5000000,addr1q95kvwcvdlgqaz...,,,0,50
```
<br>
# FAQ
Here you can find some answers to frequently asked questions on the VyFinance lottery!
## **Where do my ticket values come from?**&#x20;
To obtain the ticket values we take the transaction hash from the transaction the user purchased the tickets with. Starting from the right and working our way to the left we get the ticket values depending on how many tickets were purchased in that transaction. Here is an example:
*Ticket Price: 10 VYFI User sent 40 VYFI and produced this transaction hash: 6771975b6b2671850bcd8de6bd48915b674d3d5990a5fc4fbf770298cb25d87a*
*Ticket 1: d87a Ticket 2: cb25 Ticket 3: 0298 Ticket 4: bf77*
## **Where does the winning ticket value come from?**&#x20;
Every lottery round has a draw date. At that predefined draw date we take the first block produced after that date and get the winning ticket from the hash of that block.&#x20;
*For example, if that block was:*&#x20;
*6771975b6b2671850bcd8de6bd48915b674d3d5990a5fc4fbf770298cb25d87a*
*the winning ticket would be: d87a*
## **What if there are no winners?**&#x20;
If the VYFI in the prize pool isn't won, it doesn't go to waste! Unclaimed VYFI rolls over to the next Lottery round.
## **My ticket matches several numbers but I can't claim a prize**&#x20;
Tickets are only eligible to win if the numbers/letters match from left to right.
## **Can I swap my tickets back to VYFI?**&#x20;
No, once purchased you will not be able to convert your tickets back into VYFI.
## **If I win, do I need to manually claim the prize?**&#x20;
Yes, you will need to click the "Check Now" button under the "Are you a winner?" section of the Lottery page. You can also view your tickets from previous rounds in the section below "Finished Rounds". For more information View our "[How to Claim Lottery Rewards](/vy-finance-products/lottery/how-to-claim-lottery-rewards)" tutorial
You can only buy a maximum of 16 tickets in one purchase, but you can make multiple purchases. There's nothing to stop you buying more tickets after your first 16.
# Governance&#x20;
VyFinance Governance
As a part of running a Decentralized finance platform, we at VyFinance believe it is essential to allow users to take part in the decision making process of the platform itself. In keeping with this belief, we have built one of the first forms of on-chain governance to be released on the Cardano blockchain. This will allow our users to engage with our platform on a more personal, and individualized basis - as holders of our token will have a voice!
**VyFinance Voting**&#x20;
Users will be able to vote on proposals that have been placed on the governance platform. This will include anything from possible parameters for vaults, choice’s on listings, and direction of partnerships. We intend to launch Voting on our platform by the end of March.
**Who is allowed to vote?**&#x20;
All holders of VYFI are able to vote on proposals. Users who hold VYFI token either in their wallet, or any on our platform, will have their token’s captured at the time of a snapshot which will be specified beforehand. Each VYFI token equals one vote. All votes will be counted, and the result released on our proposals page.
**How to vote**
Voting is very simple. When on our proposals page, you select which option you would like to vote for. We generate a transaction, which includes a ballot amount. This ballot amount is then recorded against the vote. As the Cardano blockchain develops, we will be able to implement this with only the cost of the transaction. Each ballot amount will correspond to a different voting option (such as 1.100101ada for yes, 1.100102 for no. The format of the vote is as follows, the first 4 decimals will be the proposal, the last two will be the choice index. Once received, we compare against the snapshot of the vyfi held in the wallet that sent the transaction, and we tally these to give us the result. This means that the voting takes place entirely on-chain.
&#x20;**Are the votes binding?**
Yes, we will do our best to incorporate the result of the vote into our system. This is an integral part of Governance, and as our project develops, we aspire to become more of a DAO than just a DeFi platform. The holders allow our project to exist, so the holders should have a say. This is what distinguishes VyFinance, and DeFi in general, from the current banking system. The users are not disenfranchised, but rather, given the power to be involved!
**Will users be able to make proposals?**
The intention is to allow users to make proposals, but at launch, proposals will be set based on community discussion as well as when decision making is required. There will be some initial votes to outline some basic system direction that we will adopt moving forward. This is one of the first times that on-chain governance has been attempted on Cardano, and we want to ensure it is fully functional before we add complexity.
